Her background
Simone Cottom has spent more than 20 years delivering complex projects across banking, hospitality, travel, and technology. She has led large-scale transformation programmes and rolled out systems across global markets for organisations including Westpac, Commonwealth Bank, Expedia Japan, and British Airways Holidays. Throughout her career, her focus has stayed the same: better processes, better customer outcomes, and inclusion built into the way businesses work.
She holds a Master of Project Management and trained as dux of her hotel management course in Switzerland, pairing strong technical skills with a genuine understanding of hospitality and service excellence.

Australians are blind or have low vision, and most of them travel and stay away from home on occasion.
There is a real need, and hotels can lead the way.
